"Where's My Refund?" Update
The Department of Revenue is working as quickly as possible to process income tax refunds. However, please be advised:

  • If you filed electronically and chose direct deposit, you can expect your refund within 12 business days of the return acceptance.
  • If you filed a paper return, you can expect your refund within 6-8 weeks of the date you filed.

Some tax returns need extra review for accuracy and to protect taxpayers from fraud and identity theft and therefore extra processing time may be necessary.

You may check the status of your refund on AZTaxes.gov, Where’s My Refund. If you have not received your refund after the referenced time, please contact Arizona Department of Revenue staff at 602-255-3381 or toll-free from area codes 928 and 520, 1-800-352-4090.

As a reminder, the filing deadline to submit 2016 tax returns is Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

TPT Update - March 2017

Centralized reporting and paying now makes it easier to file one return per Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) transaction privilege tax (TPT) license. Beginning with your January 2017 activity filed in February 2017, businesses must now file all their TPT activity with ADOR. Previously taxpayers with activity in non-program cities would file with that city and with ADOR. Do not file separate city returns for current activity.
