Supreme Court adopts policies and procedures for granting private process
servers the authority to operate statewide. Approvals are handled by the superior
court in each county. Applications can be obtained from any Superior Court
Clerk's Office. The process involves submitting applications, successful completion
of a test, references, photo, fingerprint, and criminal history records check.
Approval is for three years.
Private process server applications are available and processed at the Office
of the Clerk of Superior Court in each county. Since applications may vary
slightly by county, applications should be obtained at the appropriate clerk's
office.

Subject: Defensive driving schools provide defensive/driving classes as a
court diversion program for minor traffic offenses.
Comment: Organizations
that provide defensive driving classes for traffic ticket diversion must be
certified. The individuals who teach the classes for the schools must also
be certified. Application fees are required.
Defensive driving school certification application packets are quite lengthy,
and the information required varies with the organization seeking certification.
For the convenience of the applicant, they should contact the Administrative
Office of the Courts for application materials and guidance.

Comment: Fiduciaries
who manage the affairs of wards of the courts for a fee, as guardians or conservators,
must be certified by the Arizona Supreme Court. The registrant must meet minimum
requirements, submit an application, a fingerprint check, a criminal history
records check, references, and meet bond requirements. Fees are required for
registration and re-registration. Registration is for a period of two years.
Initial certification requires successful passage of a certification examination,
administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts. The applicant should
contact the Administrative Office of the Courts regarding the training schedule
and application process.
Confidential
Intermediary Program

of confidential intermediaries
Comment: The confidential
intermediary program certifies individuals who access court records to facilitate
the search process between adult adoptees or adoptive parents and birth parents
(triad members).
Initial certification as a confidential intermediary requires meeting minimum
requirements, submittal of application, payment of applicable fees, a fingerprint
and criminal history records check, attendance at a two day training and a
passing score on a multiple choice/essay examination. Training is held one
time per year, usually in November. All certificates expire after three years
of certification on October 31st. Renewal of certification requires documentation
demonstrating that a confidential intermediary has successfully completed
a minimum of eighteen (18) hours of approved continuing education within the
three years. An applicant should assume that at least one trip to Phoenix
per year will be necessary for Administrative training. Applications for initial
and renewal certification are available on the Program website. Applicants
may contact the Program Office for additional information regarding the training
schedule and application process.

who stenographically record and transcribe a verbatim record in any sworn
proceeding in Arizona for use in any court in this state are required to be
certified. The certification program is administered by the Arizona Supreme
Court. Initial certification includes successful passage of a proficiency
examination and a written examination. Fees are required for both initial
and renewal certification. Additional information is available on the Program

preparers are individuals who prepare or provide legal documents, without
the supervision of an attorney, for an entity or a member of the public who
is engaging in self representation in any legal matter. Legal document preparers
are regulated by the Arizona Supreme Court. Both individuals who are practicing
as legal document preparers and legal document preparer businesses must be
certified. Fees are required for initial and renewal certification. The applications
