Subject: Intern, A.R.S. 32-1322 A. states:

Comment: An applicant for licensure as an intern shall:
Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Be a graduate of an accredited or provisionally accredited school of mortuary science.
Be of good moral character.

Subject: Embalmer, A.R.S. 32-1322 A. states:

Comment: An applicant for licensure as an embalmer shall:
Pass the funeral service science section of the national board examination or the state equivalent examination.
Pass the embalmer state laws and rules examination.
Be of good moral character.
Have been licensed as an intern for a least one year.
Have successfully completed an internship program that included assisting in the embalming of at least twenty-five dead human bodies.

Subject: Funeral Director, A.R.S. 32-1322 A. states:

Comment: An applicant for licensure as a funeral director shall:
Pass the funeral service arts section of the national board examination or the state equivalent examination.
Pass the funeral director state laws and rules examination.
Be of good moral character.

Subject: Funeral establishment

Comment: Responsible funeral director and legal facility criteria (any specific location devoted to the care and preparation for final disposition or transportation of dead human bodies). Application and license fees.

Subject: Prearranged funeral sales endorsement

Comment: Establishment license and surety bond. Application and license fees.

Subject: Prearranged funeral salesperson registration

Comment: Required for any individual to sell prearranged funeral agreements at funeral establishment which holds an endorsement. Application and license fees.

Subject: Crematory

Comment: Required for all entities which cremate human remains. Application and license fees.
